The Kangaroo Island Wildlife Adventures 2 Day Kangaroo Island Wildlife Adventure departs Adelaide at 6.15am where we pick you up from your Adelaide CBD accommodation. We drive down the Western side of the Fleurieu Peninsula, before boarding the SEALINK ferry at 9am. After the 45 minute ferry ride across Backstairs Passage (good chance of seeing dolphins) we arrive at Penneshaw on Kangaroo Island around 10am.

 

On Kangaroo Island

Once on Kangaroo Island, we set off in search of wildlife and adventure. Our guides have the power to tailor the itinerary depending on the weather and the group. With KI Wildlife Adventures, you are on an adventure with a maximum of 21 people, giving us flexibility and enabling us to visit the best places at the best times, on every tour.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Wildlife Viewing and Adventure on Kangaroo Island (L&D)

• We pick you up at 6.15am from you Adelaide CBD or Glenelg Accommodation
• Picturesque drive along the coast of the Fleurieu Peninsula
• Ferry from Cape Jervis to Kangaroo Island
• Hike up Prospect Hill, enjoy the views then explore Pennington Bay
• Sand boarding at Little Sahara
• Kayak along the Harriet River at Vivonne Bay (included in Summer only – weather permitting)
• Healthy Lunch
• Seal Bay Guided Walk with the Sea Lions
• Optional Quad Bike Tour - $79
• Sightseeing & Photo Time
• Delicious Dinner
• Nocturnal activities & wildlife spotting
• Optional Hanson Bay Nocturnal Tour - $22
• Enjoy sitting around the campfire

Day 2 - Wildlife Viewing and Adventure on Kangaroo Island (B&L)

• Short Bush Walks / Hiking through the Flinders Chase National Park
• Healthy Lunch
• Beautiful North Cast beaches for snorkeling, body boarding & swimming in Summer – weather permitting

• Return Ferry to Cape Jervis
• Return to Adelaide at approximately 8.30pm
  (latest 10.30pm subject to ferry availability)

Itineraries sometimes change due to the weather, the wildlife and the adventure of Kangaroo Island!  Surf & Sun guides have the freedom to change itineraries as they require to ensure the most wildlife is seen and to ensure every groups has the best time possible!

You need:

Comfortable clothes & shoes, towel, water bottle, small day pack, sunscreen & a hat, warm clothes for the cold nights, a sense of adventure anything you would require for taking photos, hiking and swimming.
